Recognition2015 Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO) People in Preservation Award for Adaptive Reuse
This adaptive reuse project required the conversion of the historic brick and timber Sterling Hardware Building (circa 1880) into an urban Art Gallery and event center in the Gaslamp District. Skylights and new storefront windows provide natural light to the space. A new steel framed mezzanine, inspired by the old fire escapes on the downtown buildings, provides additional circulation and gallery space.
